Hello! I am a PhD candidate in Linguistics at New York University. My primary research interests are in Phonology and Phonetics, with a focus on stress, prosodic structure and computational learnability.

My advisor is Maria Gouskova.

I am particularly interested in understanding how phonological structure is represented and learned, and how this interacts with phonetic cues across languages. Some other topics that I enjoy thinking and learning about are loanword phonology, nasal place asymmetries, the realization of focus, and non-segmental processes such as reduplication.

Extensively prior to finding Phonology and sporadically afterwards, I have worked on projects in Syntax and Semantics, investigating correlative clauses, focus particles, copular constructions, and syntactic control.

I am a native speaker of Indian English, likely the variety of English with the largest number of speakers worldwide.
